As comfortable in sport and lifestyle as in comedy, Parisian director Joaquim Bayle has already directed films and campaigns for clients such as Nike, Google, Carhartt Wip, Asics, Adidas, Oakley, Cowboy Bikes and Jordan.
Deliberately avoiding superficiality, his directing style always serves the intention of the project with the desire to create refined advertisements. During these years, which he considered to be an artistic challenge, he began to become interested in a very singular and existential cinema drawing its inspiration from tragicomedy and the absurd.
His first short film GWENDOLINE, a dark comedy about a post-punk band desperately looking for an audience to perform, was screened at the best Oscar-qualifying film festivals (honorable mention from the Jury at the Slamdance Festival, Cinema Jove de Valence, AIFVF…).
